Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students take on the roles of diplomats representing countries or organizations. Participants engage in debates, write resolutions, and work towards solving global issues. MUN enhances skills such as public speaking, diplomacy, negotiation, and research, while also promoting a better understanding of international relations and global politics.

Timun Society is an official student association at Tilburg University, dedicated to Model United Nations (MUN), career development, and student growth. We provide a platform for students to develop their debating, leadership, and teamwork skills through workshops, conferences, and social activities. Beyond MUN, Timun Society offers career development opportunities, networking, and fun social events to foster a strong community.

No prior experience is required to join Timun Society! We welcome all students, whether you're a seasoned MUN delegate or a beginner eager to learn. Our workshops and events are designed to help everyone improve, no matter their starting point.

Timun Society holds weekly workshops focused on different MUN topics and skills. In addition to that, we host social events every two weeks to help members build connections and friendships. We also attend MUN conferences at least twice per semester, providing members with the opportunity to apply their skills in real-world simulations.

Besides our two hour workshops on Mondays, feel free to put in as much time preparing for the workshops as you wish is needed.

At the beginning of each workshop we dedicate 15 minutes explaining how a workshop runs and what the rules of procedure are.
